On 24 March 2023, the Honorary Consul of São Tomé and Principe in Milan, Silvia Grosso, received the Honorary Consul of São Tomé and Principe in Potsdam, Stephan Knabe, at the Lombardy Consular Headquarters.
During the meeting, the two Consuls had the opportunity to discuss the socio-economic situation in the country, with the aim of promoting broader cooperation and initiating projects that could foster faster growth in the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe.
Honorary Consul Stephan Knabe took the opportunity to hand over as a gift the product of one of the projects initiated by the Honorary Consulate of São Tomé and Principe in Potsdam, namely a book, written in German, describing the wonderful African country in all its facets, in order to make the German people aware of the existence of São Tomé and Principe and the beauty that lies within it.
The focus on the country's criticalities made it possible to develop projects that could compensate for the shortcomings and deficiencies present today on the islands of the archipelago located in the Gulf of Guinea, aimed at ensuring the development of both the primary sector and the hotel tourism sector.
